This plugin connects to Australia Post's systems to automatically calculate shipping costs and delivery times.
Australia Post calculates shipping charges off the actual weight or a calculated volume weight, this plugin requires that the user calculates and enters the largest of the two into each products User-defined Variable (B) field
Features
- 4 delivery methods: Standard, Express, Air and Sea
- Delivery methods can be enabled/disabled
- Delivery method names as well as all text is editable.
- Displays both the calculated delivery cost and estimated delivery days.
- Shows a preview of the layout in the configuration panel
Installation/Setup Instructions
- After purchasing this plugin a zip file will be emailed to you as a .zip file, save it somewhere on your computer
- Log into the administration of your site and click on the 'Manage Plug-ins' button
- Click the browse button and locate the zip file you saved in step 1
- Click 'Install a New Pligin'
- Click the 'Options' button to configure the module
- Enter the post code of your store.
- Select the shipping methods you plan to use.
- Enter your handling costs.
- Edit the shipping selection label and/or the custom text to display.
- Enter your product weights (as defined by australia Post) into the 'User-Defined Variable (B):' field of each product. This can be found under the Advanced Options tab. Product weights must be entered in kilograms, do not enter the units (eg. enter 0.5 for 500g).
- In shipping options select Use Custom PHP Include, then select australia_post.php. You will need to do this for both local and international.
