This utlity is only useful to, and should only be used by Soholaunch sites that use 'Off Line Credit Card Payment'. That is, you manually process crredit card transactions. This program allows an authorised user to view the entire Credit Card information for a sale on the one screen.
A hyperlink is inserted into the header of the notification email sent to the merchant. The merchant simply clicks on this link and the information is displayed in a new window. The merchant can also close the sale from this window. Thus removing the requirement for a merchant to have to log in to Sohoadmin when processing orders.
This program does not compromise the security of the credit card information. The credit card information is still broken down into two pieces and stored on separate computers. This program is simply a vehicle to easily bring the pieces together.
Once an order has been 'closed' the credit card information cannot be viewed until the orders status has been changed back to 'Pending'.
To enhance security a computers locations (i.e. your office or shops) must be authorised to view the information. This means that if an email is ‘forwarded’ to someone else, the other person cannot view the credit card information, unless their location is also authorised.
To authorise a computers location, simply log into your sites Sohoadmin screen, go to the plug-in manager and click the hyperlink in the middle panel.
